Canada has launched a U.N. declaration that calls for action to protect what it calls "information integrity" and to tackle "disinformation."

'It’s hard to imagine a nation demonstrating more contempt for the United Nations and all that it stands for,' said Secretary of State Blinken.

The meeting comes amid efforts to engage with senior Chinese officials to improve communications amid strained bilateral ties.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is now standing trial. This isn’t a trial in a normal court system, though. It’s an impeachment trial, brought by his own party. His fate will be decided by a jury of 31 senators.
