Prince Memorabilia Goes on Sale in New York

Guitars and outfits worn by Prince will go on sale this Friday, May 18 in New York, part of an auction of the late star’s memorabilia.

One of his famous white “Cloud” guitars will be up for grabs from May 18, kicking off a “music icons” sale at Julien’s Auctions, which is hosting the sale.

The items are being sold by family members and former employees, according to the Associated Press, and are on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.

The Schecter electric guitar was gifted to a Paisley Park employee and has a pre-sale price of $10,000 to $20,000.

A blue outfit worn by Prince during a 1999 pay-per-view concert is also under the hammer, with a pre-sale price of between $40,000 and $50,000.

Other items include jewelry, boots, posters, and backstage passes.
